The BMW F 900 R and F 900 XR are now even more attractive thanks to significantly richer standard equipment, fully adjustable upside-down forks, lighter wheels, and a weight reduction of 3 kg. In the new F 900 R, an additional advantage is a sportier riding position, while in the F 900 XR, the aerodynamics have been optimized.

The new dynamic roadster BMW F 900 R and the new F 900 XR crossover motorcycle elevate the popular mid-range product line from BMW Motorrad to a whole new level. Both F models have been designed with a focus on sporty character and enjoyment of twisting roads, thanks to even more agile handling.
They are tailored for both experienced motorcyclists and those taking their first steps on two wheels, as well as those returning to motorcycling after a time.
As a dynamic roadster, the new F 900 R is primarily designed for sporty riding pleasure, while the F 900 XR has everything that makes it a solid partner for longer trips and holiday excursions with luggage.
New technologies and visual enhancements
The new dynamic roadster BMW F 900 R and the crossover motorcycle F 900 XR elevate the BMW Motorrad product lineup to a new level. With more agile handling and a powerful 895 cm³ engine certified to Euro 5+, both models are tailored to the needs of different motorcyclists—both beginners and experienced riders.
Dynamic Traction Control DTC and a sporty silencer from Akrapovič offer even more riding pleasure.
Standard equipment
Both the new BMW F 900 R and the new BMW F 900 XR feature a new, torsionally rigid upside-down telescopic fork with a 43 mm diameter for the front wheel. Now, rebound damping, compression, and spring preload can be adjusted. This allows the fork to be tailored to individual needs.
The new BMW F 900 R and F 900 XR also come equipped with new 17-inch aluminum alloy wheels. They weigh about 1.8 kg less than previous models, contributing significantly to the total weight reduction of 3 kg.
Another new standard equipment feature of the F models is BMW Motorrad ABS Pro. ABS Pro provides a step up from BMW Motorrad ABS and ensures even safer braking in bends by activating ABS when braking in a leaned position.
Another new standard feature is Dynamic Brake Control (DBC), which provides even more safety during braking in difficult situations by preventing unintentional acceleration.

Modern design
The BMW F 900 R offers a sporty position thanks to the new footpeg and handlebar settings, while the F 900 XR offers better wind protection and optimal aerodynamics, making it an ideal partner for long trips.
Both models in the F series are equipped with a new, 0.8 kg lighter battery. They also feature a new rear section with functionally integrated turn signals (the functions of the rear lights and brake lights are integrated in the turn signals).
Standard equipment for the new BMW F 900 XR includes the Headlight Pro package with daytime running light and adaptive headlight providing even safer nighttime riding. Other new items in the standard equipment of the F 900 XR include a USB-C charging socket on the right side of the cockpit with a maximum charging current of 2.4 A and heated grips.
